Need to get some more El Dorado. Can actually get it at the state store. Have a Hamilton, but it’s the pot still black. Might try it with Lairds in an old fashioned riff tonight. Forgot I had it.
I haven't seen this brand at a local shop, but I did pick up a bottle of Fee Brother's Mexican Chocolate bitters recently, and they're really good in a standard rye Old Fashioned... the Old Fashioned tends to be a little sweet for my tastes lately, and I think the Mexican Chocolate bitters add a nice layer of depth and complexity.
What rum would you use in the light in an attic?
Ideally El Dorado 8, if not then El D 5 or 12. And if you can't find any of those, Hamilton Demerara 86.

Fee Bros makes a great chocolate bitters, and I always keep a bottle around.
I’ve really been enjoying this newsletter so I’m happy to get even more of it. Thanks for expanding the mind and palate of a tiki fan.
Thank you! I plan to get to tiki drinks when the weather is a little warmer.
