I tried this out last night and had to subscribe. This was a great Monday evening cocktail. I suggest trying out different types of honey for some interesting changes to the flavor profile. I made one with a standard clover honey that was clean and sweet and bright, and then I made one with a dark red bamboo honey that I bought at a local apiary. The honey is slightly smokey and it added a very interesting depth of flavor. Also love the regal shake.
I made this for my husband and we both loved it. I didn't have the grapefruit the first time - we'll add the peel when we make it next time. Thanks for the recipe!

Ah, and you were right. The grapefruit addition really does add a subtle complexity.
A great entrant into a genre of drinks that are basically a flat French 75!
