Made the Liam Neeson Monologue with—please forgive me—some E&J I had lying around and goodness what a combination of flavors. The cinnamon stick garnish makes sense because the mix alone generates a cinnamon profile among the other flavors. Suderman doesn’t miss!

I am late on this as I kept forgetting to get cinnamon sticks! Just got some and my husband and I really enjoyed this drink. The cinnamon was a great addition!

This got me thinking about the apple bitters I've bought not used much - one kind of thinks of mixing with smoked cinnamon bitters. Any thoughts about tweaking something with Laird's and apple bitters? My attempts have been too-apple heavy, which is not something I expected possible.

Along the lines of using Benedictine, I have found that some Becherovka with Jameson also makes a nice old fashioned. Similar dynamic IMHO.

How much of the smoked cinnamon bitters did you use in the Liam Neeson Monologue when you went that route? I've ordered some and want to give that version a shot too.

It's an eyedropper bottle, so I used three drops in addition to the Angostura.

What are “drops” with an eye dropper? Is that 3 squirts of a full dropper? I assume it’s not just 3 little tiny drops?

Three tiny drops! Bitters are super concentrated. And a 2-3 ounce cocktail isn't a huge volume, so a little goes a long way. A lot of recipes that use Bittermen's bottles, which also come in dropper bottles, call for just 2-5 drops per drink.

That's one way I have kinda-sorta justified buying so many bottles over the years: Outside of a small handful of regular use bottles, most of them last basically forever.

When you use a dash, how many drops is that?

For the 3:1, I assume the three parts are just honey, not honey syrup.

Yes, apologies. Fixed in text.
