Last weekend, I finally got around to buying sherry to try out the Bamboo (and the Not-Quite-A-Bamboo, too), Adonis, and the sherry flip from around Christmas. Haven't gotten to the others, yet, but the Adonis is really quite nice.
I'm running behind because life has been complicated by some localized emergencies. So far, though, this newsletter has cost me a bottle of Rittenhouse--and a half bottle of Cocchi di Torino I didn't even own before the vermouth letter went out.
Thanks for writing this stuff! It's been edifying, and a small comfort in terribly uncomfortable times.
I tried this tonight with Maker's cask strength — No idea, how it compares to the original recipe, but it was very good
Oh, interesting. Makers cask has a similar proof but is a very different mashbill. I can see it working pretty well though. Might have to try this...
Does this work with Wild Turkey 101 or Elijah Craig barrel proof?
You might try it with the WT101, which also has a high rye mashbill. I’ve never done it that way, but in theory it should at least be interesting.

This will probably overpower my Capitoline Rose vermouth... but I'm willing to try and report back because of my humanitarian nature.
