Pretty good - I like it! And an excuse to use more of that bottle of Falernum.

As an aside, I've found the book "Batch Cocktails: Make-Ahead Pitcher Drinks for Every Occasion" to be a really valuable resource. My wife and I have people over once a month or so for cocktails, and it was a gift from one of our frequent guests. I've gotten some really creative and interesting ideas out of it.

Ooooh, good recommendation. I have seen that book and thought about buying it... There's a limit to how many cocktail books I can process at a time! But I should probably get this one at some point.

I've definitely gotten more use it of it than pretty much any other book, but it's also well-suited to the way I entertain.

I batched your daiquiri recipe on Saturday night for people and it was a big hit, too

I’ve really enjoyed using the Bitter Truth Jerry Thomas bitters with falernum cocktails

Haven't tried that with this drink, but that's a good idea.

I’ve enjoyed your suggestions over my several months (so far) of a subscription. But this one, more than any other, made my head spin: WOW! Such flavor!

New subscriber here, and first time commenter. Thanks so much for this whole passion project, I feel like a kid in a candy shop!

Just made the second variation here, but halved the rich simple. Not sure if it’s due to using Demerara, but to my taste it’s about perfect sweetness. A lovely summer afternoon cocktail—thanks!!

Sounds great, but before I buy the Falernum: does it need to be refrigerated? I’m running out of space.

Nope! It lives on an ordinary a bar shelf.
