Sounds like a great drink! Don’t have any scotch on hand right now (I know, I know, tsk tsk), but I’ll have to try it with the Japanese whisky I’ve got and see how that goes.
i used a different inexpensive blended Scotch called John Barr, and about triple the bitters, and it’s pretty darn tasty. thank you sir, and one day my Basset hound (female named Fred) would like to meet your pack of rather larges.

Yeah! Should work. Japanese whisky can be even more delicate so maybe stir a tad less and sliiiiightly pull back on the honey
So perfect for a December night. Used my normal sugar ratio 7.5 mL to 2 oz of whisky
Glad you enjoyed it!
Peter, do you happen to have the details of the rocks glass used in this post?
Yep! This is from the Anchor Hocking Manchester Rocks glass set:

I’m excited to try this. I read it aloud to my mixmaster and he’s excited too. Will report back!
Excited to try this. I just bought a small bottle of Famous Grouse so I could finally experiment with a Rob Roy and now this!
